| Eurotuber, an exitable project |  |

| Never before has
a natural product allowed people to dream about the future potentialities
of the land where they live. Truffles did it. It is thanks to Eurotuber that the Sierra of Albarracìn, a small area between the Iberians mountains in Aragon, has had the possibility to develop such economic esctors and this just through a natural resource live truffle. Eurotuber, on the basis of a transnational cooperation principle, offers a peculiar vision of the truffle "world", already commercially dominated by France and Italy. Now if a deep knowledge of the economical world is passed to the truffles farmers of Teruel and Aragon, these lands will surely benefit of this process and a consequent development of this rural world will be possible. Moreover a common research activity, an establishment of quality parameters of this product and an exchange of information about the markets, will allow an exactly alive introduction of the Spanish truffle on the international economic world. Eurotuber means culture and tourism too. The experience of this Project in the Sierra has had some other effects which will be more evident in the future: it has opened up new horizons in the touristic field taking truffle as a starting point to get to a valorisation of the surrounding area, its natural and cultural aspects. Eurotuber is a project based on the principle of transnational cooperation which leeds to a mutual exchange of experience and knowledge between the countries and areas involved in it. |
